The piece is marked by Leslie Johnson on he bottom of his portrait. The Elyes Book on Burslem says He was also a clever miniaturist who executed many historical portraits Charles I Charles II, Lord Nelson & Lady Hamilton, Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth I & Mary Queen of Scots. His Portraits are also found o Vases with Landscapes by Hancock , roses by Curnock & guiding by Skinner. His work was frequently asked for specifically by American & Australian Customers.
